tap at Bullfrog - dark roast with light grainy. Spicey wheat and dry chocolate. Bittersweet baking chocolate with some coffee notes and grains. Tasty. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 25, 2011
Thick roasted grains, bananas and cloves in there. Standard German wheat beer finish, one of the best American German-style brews available. hbmason (1086) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 13, 2011
Growler pour. Pitch black. Very little tan head. Light roast. Malty. Very drinkable. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 14, 2011
Tap. Pours a slightly cloudy brownish body with a small off-white head that left some minimal lacing. The nose is a mix of coffee, roast, dark wheat, and a nice yeastiness. Flavor follows suit rather well, the mix of roast and wheat is just about perfect for me. Medium bodied, with nice lively spritzy carbonation. Nice length on the finish, with a nice rustic, almost slightly sour ending. Quite enjoyable. rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 11, 2011
Nose is roasty popcorn, banana. Really strange. Flavor follows - nearly burnt popcorn, general German here character that I tend to associate with older bottles.

Pours lehigh brown with a thin white head. Nice caramel on the nose which is also quite evident on the tongue. Finish is smooth. Fantastic session beer.
