In a snifter. Very hazy amber leaving a bit of sediment. Nice woody sour oakish aroma. Puckers my mouth just to sniff it. Medium plus body. It’s sort of sour/oak/plum. Nicely sour/puckerish. But far, far from vinegar. An ale to savor. It is excellent. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2010
(750ml, bottle # 370/378, courtesy of ericandersnavy) Pours a clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of cherry, oak, chocolate, caramel, toffee, and horseblanket. Flavor of cherry, earthiness, light oak, caramel, and grass with a dry finish. Nellie (349) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 7, 2010
ericandersnavy - gracias.
Smells so good. Super tart. Tastes like a strawberry hookah. Love it! Sammer (1119) - Plano, Texas, USA - AUG 7, 2010
Bottle shared by ericandersnavy. Brownish pour from bottle with small, fading head. Nose is musty. Taste is sour fruits and woody, with hints of vinegar. Dry, slightly sour finish. Excellent!

Shared by Dasilky1 at Sourfest. Thanks Todd. Wonderfully tart/sour spicy nose. Fruitiness. Taste is nice even sweetness and spice. Fun funkiness. Lovely grape finish. Oak. Liked this one a bunch despite the worry it was going to be one of those overhyped brews. I’ve hit or missed on the Bullfrog brews, but this one was a hit!

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this bottle. Bottle 370 of 378.
The beer pours a reddish-amber color with a white head. The aroma is sour cherries with some caramel malt. The flavor is light funk, oak, tart cherries and vanilla. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very good sour beer that lived up to the expectations I had. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 2, 2010
BCTC 2010, courtesy of Frylock I believe. Thanks Jacob. copper, amber, orange pour. Agressively funky aroma, sour cherries, red wine, oak, musty. Full flavor of what aroma indicated was coming. Real nice Bullfrog!!! Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 21, 2010
In short: A tasty and a bit rustic/dirty sour ale with a classic Flemish Sour personality.BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 19, 2010
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed relatively fresh a few months after the beer release. Post Mondial 2010 tasting session.
The look: Cloudy dark dirty red body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose has a lot of oak sourness, rustic character and cherries undertones. This almost smells like a classic Flemish Sour. Taste follows up on the nose. Very grainy cereals, lots of lactic acid, strong oak sourness presence, sour cherries, some berries, some almonds, woodchips, caramel. Meidium sournessa and acidity. This is a tasty beer. Overall I found the beer to be a bit “rough”, almost dirty. I liked it a lot but a little cleaner and this could have been fantastic. This beer was very good, almost excellent. Thanks Rciesla for bringing this bottle to a party at my place. Much appreciated. I do the same. When I’m invited to a party I always bring beer. I always bring at least a six-pack for missing child search party.
Bottle number 40/378 thanks to dasilky1. Pours with a hazy brown body. Aroma of brown sugar, wine, acidity and wood. Taste is brown sugar, acid, and lightly acetic. Lively bubbles. DaSilky1 (2606) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 18, 2010
Pours brown, thin head. Sweet, full and sour nose...sharp sourness around the edges...clean, sour, perfect sweetness, perfect sourness...I really like the balance of fruitiness, sourness, sweetness, and alcohol warmth here...beautiful balance really....fruity like strawberries...warm like liquor...a touch of solventy funk. I dig it a lot!
