Vinous oak hints, light grape character, and berries. Soft and chewy with a mild leather like dryness. Sour and funky with a mildly tartness very low acidity and a slight warming. Bottle at Peter’s 2nd annual spring gathering. Pours a murky brown with a thin beige head. Woody malt, sour notes, fruit up front. Nice and crisp, good malt with some caramel tones to it. Tart and tasty and full of long tannins. Long wood fueled acids on the finish. Rather tasty. Definitely looking forward to the bottle I managed to get. Bottle: The aroma consists of cherries (sweet and tart), caramel, and a hint of acetone. it pours a cloudy orangish-brown with a minimal head. The flavor starts with a quick rose of sweet cherry and caramel. The cherry quickly goes tart in the finish with hints of vanilla, acetone, and oak. Medium bodied with mind carbonation.
