I have that it’s sweet and slight light. It won’t weigh you down like some other dubbels, but good. Tap swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 25, 2014
draft at Bullfrog, darker amber brown pour, medium bodied. chocolate malts, dark dried fruits, raisins, figs, malted milk balls, decent dubbel kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2013
Tap. Pours a cloudy dark amber body with a small frothy beige head. The nose is really nice, lots of dark fruits, caramel, great Belgian yeastiness, some minimal alcohol. The flavor is similar to the nose, rich dark fruits of plum and fig, some underlying caramel sweetness, just enough yeast, a slight hint of alcohol on the finish. Medium bodied and chewy in texture with soft fizzy carbonation. Really nice Dubbel, unusual for me to take to this style so much.
