Growler, from brewery. Pours a clear dark brown body with a nice one finger tight bubbled beige head that had pretty decent retention. The nose is spot on for my tastes, great chocolate and roast with some cocoa powder and touches of coffee and light hops. The flavor was much the same, great chocolate to roast balance with some light coffee and a touch of caramel on the finish. A light hoppiness on the finish gives it a bit of snap. Medium bodied with a nice soft carbonation. I really liked this one, second only to their Smoked Porter as far as "Stoutie" rates from Bullfrog go. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 27, 2009
pours a deep caramel brown with a very thin light mocha head. light aroma with some roastiness, hints of cocoa and burnt caramel. flavor is a nice roasty caramel but i didnt get much chocolate. very lively mouthfeel...thick and creamy though the finish thins out with a lingering touch of coffee. decent porter and shout out to their hometown. On tap at the Bullfrog. Brown amber pour with low carbonation and minimal head. Muddled hops, coffee flavors, malts. Soapy texture with bitterness towards the finish. afireinside96 (923) - Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2009
On tap at the brewery. Clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Notes of cardamom, cola, and coffee were detectable in the nose. The flavor was roasty with coffee and earth notes. Finishes long and bitter. Flavor was good but the body was slightly thin. Decent. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - AUG 7, 2009
Growler shared by Kramer at BCTC. Thanks Jason. A pretty nice robust porter from Bullfrog. Actually my first non sour/saison from Bullfrog. Its nice and roasty and slightly chocolately like any good porter. Nothing too special here.

Growler at BCTC 2009: Brown rusty copper pour with a dense film of head. Nutty dark toasted crystal malt aroma with a light fruity note. Light rounded body with a very toasted flavor. Some husk meshes with a fruity yeast note and heavy toast in the finish. Simple but decent. egajdzis (6672) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 2, 2009
[BCTC 09] Dark brown with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, caramel malts, and nuts. Taste of bakers cocoa, caramel malts, tobacco, light roast, and a semi-sweet finish. Thanks to Jason for sharing! adrian910ss (2588) - Doylestown, PA, USA - JUL 30, 2009
On draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark yet clear maple wood color with a light beige head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, toffee, and dry chocolate. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Dry finish. blipp (9501) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 23, 2009
Draft at the brewpub. Pours deep ruby brown with a thin head. The aroma features sweet and roasty malts, with some lighter coffee notes. The flavor is lightly roasted, with some sweet and nutty notes as well. Just a touch of roasted coffee, followed by a hint of hops in the finish. Pretty good.
