murky amber that shimmers, thin white ring. Soft marshmallow, ultra dense sugar and rich yeast and peppery esters, lightly vegetal, paper oxidation dryness and orange sweetness. Heavy orange sweetness, marshmallow, heat and stinging sugars mid before leafy, dry oxidized end.

>> Murky deep brown core, amber edges, weak foam. Nose is Belgian yeast, dark fruit, honey, flash of gristy malt. Taste is spicy, mildly bitter, on point for Quad with hop balance, toffee, sugar, figs, dark cherry. Nice finish.

Growler. Pours a mostly clear dark amber brown body under a small fizzy light brown head that faded to a thin film. The nose is very malty and sweet with a heavy dark fruitiness. Minimal influence from the vanilla, some light alcohol, and dark caramel. The flavor is pretty nice, still can’t say that I get a whole lot of influence from the cherry or vanilla, but I think it’s because the malt is so big in this. Lots of sweet caramel and fruity malt, moderate alcohol, lingering sweet finish. Medium to full bodied with a nice chewy texture and soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice Quad.

On the 4th Day of Christmas 2013...I was taken to Williamsport for work and stopped into Bullfrog. Pours a hazy chestnut with small tan head. Aroma is cherry, vanilla and almost an earthy floral. Taste is sweet with a touch of tartness. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Surprisingly it has a warming tart finish. Very interesting.
