330ml bottle, Pilsner glass. As Bulmer Harvest Apple Cider. Pale straw hue looks a bit anaemic, the effervescence is vibrant and lasting, no head. Aroma is like apple juice with cinnamon and fresh cork and white flour dough - it’s kind of like liquid apple crumble. Tastes quite sweet with mild tartness. Generous body. Nice but I like the pear cider more than the apple cider.
One of the best things I liked about this cider was it’s clean fresh nose and the absence of dirty faulty notes that I am finding in a lot of other New Zealand ciders. The nose is all ripe green apple. This flows through to the palate with plenty of fruit flavour and nice sugar/acid balance. A nice easy to drink straightforward cider. omega (900) - NEW ZEALAND - NOV 30, 2011
Find it hard to get excited by cider. A light cider which pours with a hiss and roar and dissipates quickly. Crisp apple flavours but not very challenging on the palate. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2008
(On tap) Almost crystal clear and no head. Clean, lightly tart apple aroma. Medium body with dry, clean apple notes and a discreet, balancing acidity. The finish is dry. Very drinkable. 060208
