A smooth and refreshing premium quality American-style pilsner. Burger Classic is full-flavored yet light-bodied lager brewed with select American 6-row pale and black malts along with Chinook, Nugget and Liberty hops. Naturally carbonated by using traditional Krausening methods. A regional favorite in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Brewed by City Brewery for Christian Moerlein Brewing.

This was one of the best Cincinnati area local lagers. My Mom’s favorite and mine as well. It was also, for a long time, rated the number one pale lager on this site. Crisp, clean and refreshing with a mildly hoppy finish. Sold out by the macros.

this is a great beer if you can find it. You need to talk to older cincinnati citizens. I found a guy who had a can in the back of his fridge. Great beer. they should really start making it again.

Americas best lawnmower beer has been bought out by Christian Moerlein, Bravo to these people for bringing back Ohio history, but will they brew Burger Classic? In my opinion it is the BEST american standard lager!!! contact this brewer and tell them u want this beer back!!!

Just a step up from regular commercial brews. Sets up on the palate and makes you take notice. The black malts and six-row make their mark and are defined well. Refreshing on that finish and makes you want more.

Delicous lager. I wish this was the standard for lagers in America. Crips, clean refreshing palate with a mild hoppy taste and slight sour aftertaste. Very mild in flavor. The head quickly diminishes and you are left with a quality beer that is very cheap and refreshing. DRINK THIS BEER

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2005 Has clean taste without the sourness associated with Bud. Inexpensive and tasty, great ice cold.

I have to admit, it took me some time to get around to this beer. All in all it is not bad. The aroma is pleasant. It pours a golden yellow with a quickly disappearing head. The taste is ok, somewhat salty. Not bad. Paid $6 for 12 cans, so it wasn’t a ripoff.

I picked up a case of this and barely drank one. Gave the rest away to someone who gave it away again. Very disappointed in what is considered a local classic. It had no taste and too much carbonation.

burger beer is a terrific beer. the taste isn't what neccessarily makes it a good beer though, it's the can with the german lettering which makes it great.
