UPDATED: APR 6, 2012 Poured a yellow-gold with an intially nice frothy head that faded quickly to minimal lacing that eventually went away entirely. Aroma was sweet - mainly of malt mixed with corn. Taste was of sweet malt which moved into a slight corn favoring and finishing off with a very light hop bitterness. Palate was fairly decent for light beer. Overall, I thought this was fairly decent for a cheap ($5.99/ 12 pk) light brew. I did note that it seemed to taste similar to LaCrosse City Lager which is also brewed at the City Brewery. Perhaps a slight difference in its formulation. humulus (339) - Salem, Missouri, USA - MAR 13, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 14, 2003 I am rating this in terms of style and thus in comparison with other american lights, not in comparison with stronger, more flavorful beers. This being so, I find Burger Light to be an exceptional brew. Crisp clean palate, smooth refreshing flavor, great head (which is always nice), and without the sticky aftertaste that you might find in bud, busch and miller products. Only rated in the mid 20th percentile, but if you look at the rates for this style, it ranks as number one (i.e. the best American Light). It is certainly worthy of this distintion. Five dollars a 12pack makes it all the more loveable. bipolar1 (268) - Hancock, Michigan, USA - MAR 25, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2005 The name has got to go. If you get these ice cold, they’re actually pretty good. I like Hamm’s special light a lot more. Beer Guy99 (251) - Maineville, Ohio, USA - NOV 12, 2001
This is a really fresh tasting light lager. You can actually taste tangy hops balanced by fresh biscuity pale malt. No hint of adjuncts in the flavor, just a clean, balanced easy to drink light beer. This is an all new formulation for Burger Light (summer 2001) and the quality is vastly improved over the previous recipe. It's a good light beer at any price but Burger is marketed as a budget brand and you won't find a better value for a quality light beer. strangaj (250) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 11, 2009
I would prefer this light beer over almost any in its style. Has a nice smooth finish, perfect after a long day in the sun.

not really a fan of light beers. though this one isn't all that bad. however i have no plan to drink this on a regualar basis unless the store is out of burger. Blatz King (150) - Whitewater, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 5, 2003
OK this shit was fruity like hamms. Since when is beer suppose to be fruity people? God Dammit! I gave it a five overall because the can is so similar to a busch light can they could be mistaken, but then again why would you want a can that looks like the worst beer in the world. For more go to my rating on Busch light. This shit made me sick. But I did get a little action last night so it was all good. punklawyer (100) - USA - FEB 15, 2004
I havent seen this one around in a while. It was decent when I did see it. Again, not for the faint of heart, if you are looking for weak watery lights, stay off of this one. Beerlover1982 (78) - Lacrosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 27, 2002
IT'S $6.99 A CASE!!! Great value. The aroma is perfect also.

Overall it's not a bad beer. It's good on a hot day when the beer is cold. Still, better than Bud Light, Miller, or Coors.
