[bottle from LCRBM] malty, caramel, bready. good body, a little bitterness. Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - AUG 11, 2007
Bottled. A lightly hazy red beer with a big but fast disappearing white head. The aroma is malty with caramel notes. the flavour has again notes of caramel, malt and a light toastness. Some hops in an aftertaste that has a light bitterness. Nearly as good as their helles, that means that is a very drinkable beer. dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - JUN 28, 2005
Bottled. Clear copper colour. I don´t know how this should be "naturtrüb"? Big, fluffy, off-white head. Malty, slightly chocolatey and caramelly nose with hops shining through. Toasted malt, chocolate and a faint hint of coffee in the taste. A little bitter in the finish. Not as good as their Alt-Dunkel, but a really nice one. Thanks to joss for letting me be the second to rate this. Otje (678) - Veendam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2005
Bottle at LCRBM. i get the same musky/juniperberries in the nose as their helles beer, but also malty(bit chocola and roast), spicy and a little fruity(citrus). tastes fresh, sourrish, malty, a little bitter and bready. finishes more bitter. not bad, but i liked the helles more.
