Reaper Oaked Tripel (8.5% ABV): There is no greater challenge than trying to perfect this Trappist-style beer. We perfected our recipe by using local honey, 6-row malt, medium-charred French oak and a small dose of Citra hops. This beer is a flavor bomb that will please everyone from the casual beer drinker to the wine aficionado.

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Doughy pale bread in the nose, some orange and other citrus aspect. Big sweet flavour, punchy, heavy and sugary, with lots of white bread, alcohol and yeast, some citrus and bubblegum, a dash of wood. Full bodied, chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with strong drying wood, more sugary and doughy white bread. A bit heavy-handed overall.

Draft at Burial during RBWG. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor had honey like sweetness, citrus, floral notes, light woody character, mild spices, candi sugar, ultimately this is pretty sweet but worth trying if you are there.

Has a great pale bronze color and brilliant clarity. Pours with a great head and effervescence, The scent has a mild woodiness and trappist yeast quality. Love the mouthfeel because of the honey, which provides a sweet balance to the wood bitterness. Nice hop as well, but clearly overpowered by the honey and yeast qualities - which is classic. Great beer to drink anytime of day.
