Taps opaque coffee with a good tan head. Aroma delivers roast malt, quality coffee, and a hint of molasses. Flavor offers roast malt, quality coffee, a bit of molasses and a bit of licorice. Mouthfeel presents fairly firm body and lively fizz. Hammered out well. DialSquare (5198) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 6, 2018

lightbodied, kind of milkshakey, despite the advertises juniper fairly one-d and too sweet for me. ironcontra: "just ok" oobawa (1919) - Tennessee, USA - DEC 11, 2017
Pretty darn delicious porter, heavy with dark chocolate and roasted malts, the sweetness offset by a nuanced but firm herbal bite from the juniper. Starts with a vein of bittersweet cocoa, coffee, and anise, then gains a piney hop backbone accented by tingly, brisk juniper. Finishes mocha-laced and dry with a smoky, fresh bitterness lasting deep into the fade. Pours an ugly dark brown lacking a much of a head of lacing. Aroma's full of chocolate and heavily roasted malts. Texture is oily and thick great for a hearty lager. Very, very good pint.
