27Dec2017 Intense, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, cacao, burnt toast, sour, zesty raspberries, earthy. Hazy, very dark brown, massive, frothy, beige head. Light bitter. More dark chocolate, cacao, intense, sour raspberries, light lime juice, lemon zest, burnt toast, soft carbonation, full bodied. Nice touch with the raspberries. Can from Malt & Mold LES, Manhattan.

Tap at the Hive. Dark brown pour with a tan head and good lacing. Chocolate and berry aromas. Flavors are cocoa powder, raspberries, dark malts, some bitter coffee. Dusty dark chocolate and berry finish. Very nice.

Draft. Whoa. Everything here is big. Big aroma of raspberries and cocoa. Big flavor of, in order, raspberries, tartness, chocolate and chocolate malt, an unusually tidy progression. The finish is of lingering Berry tartness. Wow. World-class.

Pitch black with a small white head. The aroma contains some dark chocolate and raspberries not much else. The flavor is slightly sweet and bitter. This is really good.

Pours dark chocolate with tan lacey head. Aroma is smoky mocha chocolate. Flavor is rich with tart raspberry undertones. Very nice balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Stiff, tart raspberry porter, lots of bitter chocolate and even more berries, with a dry and cocoa-forward profile but roasted to the point of almost coming across burnt. Ripe raspberry is on the forefront, but seems not to mesh all that well with the deep, dark java bitterness. Some anise and nutty undertones, but mainly an onslaught of berries and scorched chocolate. Overcarbonated texture doesn’t help. Pretty pour, though, and the nose presents a much more restrained beer than what we get. Not my favorite.

Awesome, molasses, roasted, vaporous raspberry aroma. Tallboy. Inky. Sourish, a bit saline, dusty, berry comes through on the back end. Smooth, but the nose is better than the flavor. Lightish body. Thanks to Tyler down at Proof Production Facility.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Opaque dark brown/black pour with a solid khaki head. Modest creamy mocha notes. The raspberry reads more as jammy blackcurrant. Some lactic bite. Mild roasted nuts. Liquorice. Medium-full bodied. Easy drinking and balanced but not overly complex.
