Quite sweet but rich. Malty with a fruity dried fruit and fig backbone. An interesting take on the IPA with the hops quite restrained LesArgen (386) - AUSTRALIA - APR 28, 2017
This one’s almost as thick as fig jam - you could spread it on your toast. The malts are quite full on, producing a sweet honey, raisin, peach and mandarin cocktail, plus a modest hop aftertaste. I love my big IPAs but I’m finding this one a little too much. sm89walt (2082) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 5, 2017
Bottle. Deep golden amber with a small and somewhat lasting beige head. Aromas of pine, resin, peach, mango and pineapple alongside a distinct sweet-accented malt profile. Quite Ric on te palate with the malts but cut through by te hopmprofjls. Mid-weight, medium carbonation and a moderate to full length and intensity bitterness. k0mpsa (3160) - Tuusula, FINLAND - JAN 29, 2017
Bottle from bws broadbeach, australia. Deep golden color, white head. Aroma has fruity hops, some leafy notes, some malts. Crispy hoppy taste, some caramel notes, sweet malty notes on the back. Tezminator (304) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 30, 2016
Nice aroma of passion fruit and pineapple as well as faint floral notes with resin. Taste is floral hops, caramel and sweet honey-like fig. Nice moderate lingering bitterness. I do not usually like sweet IPA’s, but I guess this is the exception. An excellent beer.

Flat amber pour. Full toffee malt aroma. Tastes the same with heavy toffee tar body. Strong malt backbone overrides bitterness. Too bold, almost licorice upfront tang, for hops to come through. Nice complexity, but not my preference on style. Dr Rummy (1) - safety beach, AUSTRALIA - NOV 26, 2016 does not count
I purchased this beer from Dan Murphy’s in Coffs Harbour, NSW. I am a brewer myself and I’m very fond of IPAs, but this was literally undrinkable. I poured it down the sink. It had a terrible chemical / metallic taste that I couldn’t connect with any typical beer flavours. Dandm (125) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 8, 2016
Pitted against a Mash Copycat AIPA, a comparable Aussie beer. This pours flat, clear mid gold, darker than the other. Smells strong and fruity, less fresh. Some bitterness but masked by the malty character. Overall heavier in the mouth. A bit dank. More complex but I prefer the other. neongolden (1994) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 20, 2016
(Bottle @ O’Reilly’s, Lamington National Park, QLD, July 9 2016) Pours a hazy amber colour with an average white head and a little lace. Aroma of toffee, pine, sweet orange and mixed preserved fruits. Flavour has a robust toffee and caramel malt backbone that makes it rather sweet but still fruity, with more of the candied orange and other fruits, balanced by some pine resin and a hint of grain. Finish is rather dry given the malt backbone, light to moderate pine bitterness. Medium full body with below average carbonation. A bit sweet overall, and a little malty, but quite serviceable. Worked fine in a rainforest lodge. beer-yum (1950) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 14, 2016
Citrus pine aroma in an amber copper pour. Nice hop forward balance with caramel body and restrained bitter finish.
