Tap. Pours clear gold with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is cookie and cereal malt, figs, orange peel, vanilla, herbs, and light grassy hops. Flavor is sweet malt forward with light fruit esters, vanilla, and light grassy hops; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - NOV 12, 2012
Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a deep gold color. Pumpkin spice and toasted pumpkin bread on the nose. The flavor is an outstanding mix of toasted pumpkin seeds, bread, mace, vanilla, and pumpkin spice. Really nice brew. Medium bodied and slightly oily on the tongue. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - OCT 25, 2012
On Cask at the Brewery-Cloudy golden pour w/a large foamy head...it is a cask! Bitter vegetable flavor, kind of buttery, woodsy, some cinnamon w/a touch of vanilla. This really has no pumpkin flavor at all, but the spices remind you of that just a bit. This is not a beer you are going to knock back a few of, one was more than enough for me. Interesting, to say the least. I’m a sucker for anything on cask, so I’m glad I treid it, but I’m not sure I would want to drink it all the time.
