hazy tepid sepia. Heavy oak nose, thin with spicy acid, malt is wort, sugary as shit. Front palate is watery JP madrugada, light roast and sugary contrast through thin, uncarbonated mid. Toast and crust linger through finish. A contrast of a beer, acidic and underattenuated with only weakly expressive malt.
4 ounce pour on draft at Burley Oak. Black with light tan head. Aromas of oats, roast, chocolate. Tastes of roast, oats, light dark fruit. Medium body with a dry finish. Travlr (26406) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 28, 2014
Draft at the source. Clear dark maroon, thick beige head. Nice chicolatey aroma. Taste is bittersweet cocoa powder. Full mouthfeel. Tasty. solidfunk (9729) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Really well done. Lots of oaty sweetness, with roast malt and the rest of the shebang. A good breakfast stout. Finishes with initial sweetness and then a bitter follow through. Pours black with good head and lacing. Superior. Tap at Black Squirrel. TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JUL 20, 2014
