On tap at Brass Balls, OCMD. Medium nutty roasted malty nose, with biscuit and light hop character, some chocolate too. Opaque brown amber with thin creamy off-white (served in plastic cup). Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts moderately sweet with nice toasty nutty malts, light caramel and cafe, and moderate bitterness. Nutty sweet finish and after. Serving: Draft at the brewpub. True to it’s description, there is a light nuttiness up front with a little earth, bread, and light malt sweetness. It reminded me more of a strong amber than a brown ale. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 21, 2012
This poured a slightly cloudy lighter brown color with a biege head. Aroma was of toasted malts, light grassy hops, and light nuts. Flavor was butterscotch, caramel, and toasted malts. Decent for the style.
