COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American style Cream Ale with strawberries.

Strawberries were my favorite childhood fruit. With strawberry shortcake topping the list of best things ever. This traditional style cream ale is brewed with almost a pound of strawberries per gallon to weave the delicate flavor and aroma of fresh strawberries into the beer. Enjoy this farmer’s market inspired offering.

I had this beer last summer and it was pretty good. Bought a four pack of it earlier in the week, not sure what happened here but the taste was really sour and way too tart. Did not follow the smell at all. Might be a bad batch considering some of the other reviews stating the same thing on other beer review sites. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours cloudy pinkish orange with a very creamy, light pink, fully lasting, 2-finger head that leaves excellent lacing. Aroma is resin, sharp sour green apples, hint of cloves and barnyard funk. Medium to light body, super fine carbonation, notes of strawberries and citrus, creamy texture, lightly sour and medium bitter tastes, very clean in my mouth and a brief, lightly bitter finish.

Can. Pours hazy orangish yellow with off white head. Aroma is sweet strawberry wheat. Taste is sweet strawberry wheat with a wheat finish. Pretty good.

16 ounce can thanks to Greg. Not a huge fruit nose, but the taste is pure strawberry. Murky yellow pour. Not overtly sweet, so I get the cake part too.

Smells of sweet malts and wild strawberries. Super dence cloudy yellow Orange color with two finger white head that dissipates quickly a bit of lacing. Taste is sweet malts tangy strawberry flavor from middle to end. Medium creamy body with flat like carbonation. Great real taste of strawberry and smooth mellow finish. Great fruit brew.

Canned on 7/30/16. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a cloudy burnt orange color with a thin white foamy head quickly dissipating. Spotty lacing. The smell had sweet and tart strawberry fruitiness up front. Subtle sweet cake-like creaminess underneath. The flavor brings together all of the previously mentioned aromas. Sweet strawberry to creamy aftertaste with a sweet smooth finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a really good crushability about it. Lightly carbed with a smooth semi-stickiness about it. Overall, this borderline cream ale by style wants to take it to the next level with some genuine strawberries and me, yeah, I dig this. I’d have again.

16oz can pours a hazy pinky yellow color with a bit of head. Some nice strawberry flavor coming through, but not much other flavor to balance.

On tap at the brewery. Served in a taster. Hazy orange. Really nice strawberry aroma. I know how hard it is to get that authentic strawberry aroma. Light hefeweizen yeastiness behind it. Taste has almost the same quality of strawberry flavor, but a ton of bubble gum and wheat that doesn’t work well. Light body and very grainy. Light sweetness. Just not a fan of the strawberry bubble gum flavor.

My wife loves this beer and she drinks very little beer to start with in the first place. The only down side of this brew is the price as it’s twice the price as the lowest price selection at the Growler Garage in S. Burlington, VT. Maybe my nose is stuffy but I’m not catching much of an aroma. Maybe it’s because I’m drinking out of a pint glass with it half-empty/half-full.. Anyway, it is a cloudy, reddish beer with a lively carbonation and a surprisingly abrupt finish. One can surely taste the strawberries, which cuts the bitterness but not too much. It’s not as light as on May expect for a fruit beer, which is why I was impressed with it at first sip (though I didn’t refill my growler that time due to the price).

Cloudy orange-brown pour. Aroma markers, strawberry flesh, tastes like strawberries & meringue. Creamy body - probably due to massive suspended yeast.
