COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally, the farmhouse brewers of Wallonia would produce a weak Saison beer for the workers and a stronger beer to be aged & sometimes blended – destined for the local taverns. This beer has a primary fermentation with a Saison yeast, then undergoes a secondary fermentation with a blend of Lactobacillus & Brettanomyces. The result is tart, crisp, slightly sour & incredibly refreshing.

Bottle. This is a mixed fermentation saison, and it shows. There’s a lemon-lime tart sourness that shows up immediately and last, but there’s a fair amount of bread and hay maltiness and a whiff of oak and funk. Complex, tart, effervescent, and citrusy. Excellent.

Bottle. Light golden, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - some wheat and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, faint - light caramel and light - some citrus fruitiness, light hoppyness and yeast. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly wheaty and dryish - lightly sweetish flavor, faint caramel and citrus fruitiness, light hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty - lightly weaty and dryish, faint caramel and citrus fruitiness with light hoppyness, faint alcohol. Body is bit weak. Could use more fruitiness - finish gets bit sharp/soapy

Lore (2671) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 9, 2017
hazy pale yellow colour, large, though not stable white head; aroma of lemon, wet bread, unripe fruits like peach, or apricot, horse balnket and slight acetone; taste is quite sweet with fruity, earthy and acetone notes; well, my only problem with it is that two third of the bottle blasted out while I opened it despite that I tried to open it gently and it rested 2 weeks in the fridge - so I cannot disregard this fact when I decided about the overall score
