COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison L’été was brewed with fresh elderflowers, picked from the hedgerows around the brewery. After fermentation, it was aged on whole gooseberries. Which combined with our blend of saison and wild yeast strains gives a tart, thirst quenching taste - perfect for the summer.

Pours pale straw yellow with a small persistent bubbly head. high apparent carbonation - Aroma is sherberty lemon floral and some saison funk. In the mouth it's grassy, somewhat mineral chalky and fairly dry with light herbal/white pepper notes. Good rich chalky palate with a medium length peppery finish. Very nice. Couldn't taste elderflower until I saw it in the ingredient notes but it is there, and not overpowering things like it often does.

On tap at Deya Taproom. Pours almost clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is bready malt, yeast, floral/berry/citrus notes, slightly funky. Taste was also yeasty, bready, slightly sweet but also tart, light fruity, lemon - not sure I'd pick out elderflower/gooseberry specifically but I can go with that. Light body, soft carbonation. Nice saison.
