"Not as awesome as its little brother, sweet heat. But I think that has more to do with this not being a fresh bottle. Still named Kali ma, an older alias, so hints have likely faded. Heavier beer, the spices and the fruit are present, but the apricot has faded almost to the background. Would probably love a fresh bottle or draft..." pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - APR 20, 2013
On draught at Portland Cheers to Belgian Beers festival 2013. Pale golden color. Aroma of cardamom and other spicing. Taste has a chili punch at first, then mellows to a chai tea flavor and finish. Interesting, in a good way. Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bottle #067 from brewery with Carla and Paula. Pours a beautiful orange-gold with white foam sticking to the edge of the glass. Smells toasty with hints of mild peppers (banana pepper?). Tastes mildly sweet of summer fruit, then warms with spicy peach/pineapple. Burns at the end, but isn’t prohibatively spicy, though it is rough on the digestive tract in large quantities. dry spice blend dominates the nose with a hint of sweetness underlying it. The blend of flavours is quite phenomenal. It’s so savoury, the cardamom is aromatic and clovey, definite heat, cumin adds mouthwatering funk. Apricot is so barely there. Well done. ration (2220) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 12, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2012 Pours dark yellow with no head. Aroma vegetables, mostly chili. Strong burning chili taste. Not Bad.

Draught @ Burnside Brewing, Portland.dfinney23 (3255) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 11, 2012
Pours hazy orange color with minimal head. Aroma of mild vegetables, some chili, raspberries and gooser berry bush. Flavour of raspberries, mild vanilla, fruits and lemon. Nice mildly burning palate.
Surprisingly little heat given the scotch bonnets but terrific pepper taste over a solid wheat ale base. Should’ve compared to Sweet Heat while I was there. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 11, 2012
Tap @ Burnside Brewing while attending the Portland Fruit Beer Fest... Poured opaque, orange with a white head. Looked like freshly squeezed OJ. Nose had tropical fruits and anise. Heat up front from the peppers. Nose of licorice, anise, citrus, bananas and peppers. Finished with a lot of heat. This is like Sweet Heat on steroids. Pretty awesome.
