COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnside Lime Kolsch is brewed as a German style Kolsch made with premium pilsner malt and a touch of wheat and Munich malts. We then add Tettnanger hops, and ferment with the German ale yeast at 59 degrees to create a crisp, dry, and thirst quenching beer. Then the Burnside twist; we hand zested 200 limes, steeped a pound of Kaffir Lime leaf in the kettle, and added lemongrass to the bright tank. The result, a highly drinkable summer ale with hints of exotic ingredients from the east. Drink it with a lime!

Draught at St. Augustines, Vancouver
Hazy blond color. On the sweet side for a Klsch, or maybe its the lack of bitterness; could be any anonymous Lager; luckily the lime is just a hint in the aroma and flavor, not too evident.
Beer for the uneducated drinker, very boring, but clean.

On tap at St. Augustines, pours a clear pale copper blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light notes of lime and subdued biscuity malt. Flavour is dominated by fresh lime, leaving little else available to be discerned. A totally lime-dominated beer. Its okay.

reebtogi (6088) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 11, 2016
650ml bottle pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is lime zest with some leafy notes and hints of grains. Taste is a lime tartness with a light fruity and malty sweetness finishing dry. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, not quite fitting the style, but still a refreshing and enjoyable brew.

Orange body some white head. A touch of soapy lacing. Aroma of limes. Taste is kind of an odd sweet malt, dank, lactose, and citrus. Unusual and not fantastic.

Clear golden color, white head. Malty, lime taste. Lime aftertaste. Lime scented detergent scent. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.

On tap @ Burnside. Clear golden beer with a white head. Smells more like lemongrass to me, but there is some lime in there. Light malt aroma and flavor, but still there. Kind of a cracker note, too. Somewhat tangy, perhaps a touch of limeade. Its not bad, but not really a Kolsch.

Sampled at the brewpub. Clear golden with a wite layer. Lime hits first sip and it works well here. A nice base beer behind that. A great summer time offering.

Had on draft at the brewery. Light grainy aroma, light lime/citrus, grainy. The flavor is mildly grainy, very little lime character.

BottleA: Opaque orange - gold with a thin white head, a light lacing.N: Lime, kaffir leaves, very bready, some clove and coriander, white peppercorn, green tea.T: Sweet and a bit tart.M: Light body, a bit chalky, crisp carbonation, no alcohol presence.O: A Thai based drink. The underlying Kolsch is merely OK and this is decent if not memorable.
