Bomber. Sweet strawberry aroma with chocolate, roasted malt and rum notes. Pours dark brown with a reddish tinge that also has a thin light brown head with poor retention and very little lacing. Starts with sweet strawberry flavors as well as some chocolatey notes. Finishes smooth with roasted malt flavors as well as some booziness from the rum. Quite nice. bulldogops (2490) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 25, 2016
Rating #1597 - 27.03.2015 - On tap @underground_yeg - @yegbeergirl’s Tap Takeover . Espresso coloured pour with a weak tan head that caps nicely. Aroma is heavy roast malt and coffee. Taste is heavy on roast malt and coffee flavours, very mild sweetness and a tinge of strawberry that blends well with the chocolate flavours and probably summons some sort of aphrodiasic spirit-lord. An Imperial Stout made with Belgian Chocolate & Strawberry - yes please. A deep cola brown with a light tan head. The aroma is heat, strawberries and light chocolate. Spritzy carbonation, light bodied with a dry finish. The taste is candyish strawberry, chocolate covered berries and boozy heat. Tasty. UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - JUN 24, 2015
Bottle enjoyed in my hot l room for th night. Pours the part. Sweetness and strawberries are quantifiable, don’t notice the rum. Medium body Ferris (15027) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 25, 2015
Bottle - Dark chocolate, candied cherry and a sweet rum note. Deep jet black with visible particulates. Rum sweetness, dark chocolate and a bit of boozy heat on the finish. This seems like too much amounting to nothing. Thin body and lots of flavors that aren’t very cohesive.

[2/24/15] Draught at Burnside Brewing in Portland. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Aroma of malt, candy-ish fruitiness and chocolate. Sweet candy-ish flavor with light sourness, some vanilla and a bit of chocolate. Medium-bodied. Not great. TylerGreenDC (935) - - FEB 26, 2015
Draft. Aroma of wood and berry. Flavors are rich and layered. Lots of strawberry, then dark chocolate, vanilla and maybe some Champagne? Fascinating beer. neepsntatties (1975) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 17, 2015
Bottle. Colour...very dark brown with an initially massive, frothy head. Nose...the strawberries are prevalent as are hints of the chocolate. The rum is subdued. Palate...rather thin for an imperial stout, but the nice balanced flavours of strawberry and chocolate make up for the lack of thickness. The rum is quite pronounced after the stout has sat and warmed a bit, and there’s a slightly dry oaky taste on the finish. A dandy stout, just not really an impy stout. Roasted malts and choclate dominate with very little fruit flavor if any. The strawberries are hidden and there is an off butterscotch note. dfinney23 (3255) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 11, 2012
A fine chocolatey stout with just enough strawberries to supply some fruity essence without overdoing it. Great for dessert.
