On draught at Buckman-Kerns Brewfest at EastBurn. Pungent grassy hop aroma. Grass and citrus hops mellowed by dark maltiness from the rye. A little bitter on the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a medium sized white head. Soft citrus, a touch of crisp grain. Medium bodied, soft citrus, a bit of sweetness, a touch of grain. Slow and easy into the finish, light sweetness and a bit of rye spice with a slow citrus bite and gentle bitterness.

First noticed is the lovely, cloudy deep amber color and very light colored frothy (though not deep) head. Taste is fairly unique blend of ’dirty’ rye and fruity, almost saison-like maltiness. Very subtle coriander. Minor hop presence. Appreciated on an actual early spring day, 60 degrees and not a cloud, this 22 oz. serving perfectly complimented the afternoon. Rating #1690 - On tap with the CBI crew at Burnside. This was a deep coppery brown coloured pour with a mild tan foam that faded to a ring. Nose was teddy graham cookies, chocolate, toffee, and vegetable oil. Mild alcohol warmth and carbonation (well disguised at 6.6%) Taste is lagery, a mild peppery smokiness from the rye grain, mild toffee and caramel malt sweetness, but a load of noble hop grassiness.

Nose: sweet metallic liquid lager malt, hints of lemon. (lvl-5)-intensity
Attack: crisp, fizzy-creamy full CO2
Mid-palate: background tangy, (lvl-5-sweetness), lemony grainy barley malt
Finish: rye malt spicy, light coriander exhale, burpy, subtle bitter hops, some yeasty funk.
Summary: Amazing CO2 fullness, good solid malt body with rye, coriander and a citrus hopped nuances. Very drinkable.

In short: spicy ale.
Pours murky golden with nice white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Spicy, fruity nose. Medium body, average carbonation, little crispy texture. Taste is spicy, caramel, fruity ripe. Ends sweet.
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. A bit hazy yellow color, medium sized white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is a bit unpleasant, rotting fruits, tart. Bottle @ benzai. Hazy orange colour with a medium sized white head. Smells horseblanket, brett, coriander. Tastes some hops, quite a lot of herbs, malts. Nice carbo, medium body.
