COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnside Sweet Heat is a wheat ale with an addition of 200 pounds of Apricot puree, then dry hopped with imported Jamaican Scotch Bonnet peppers. Reminiscent of a Caribbean chutney, Sweet Heat has a subtle tartness from the fruit with a slight spiciness from the peppers which also adds a fruitiness to the aroma.

Tap at the source. Slightly hazy yellow pour. Hot peppers. I’m a pussy and this is too hot for me.

AgentAle (1750) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 5, 2015
Aroma is sweet malts, pepper and sour funk. Taste is sweet malts with citrus, lemon, soured grapes and an after taste of pepper. Appearance is a hazy straw with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

haukur (1957) - Reykjavik, ICELAND - OCT 27, 2015
Hazy light yellow with a firm head. Aroma is peppers all the way, some slight fruity notes. Palate is all heat, some apricot hints. Too heavy on the spices, interesting though.

Bomber poured to cup. Cloudy. Dry, slightly tart apricot with a pepper finish. The pepper lingers more as the beer warms up. A bit more tart and this could be a nice sour.

Bottle from World Beer Market. It pours an orange honey gold with quite a nice apricot aroma that then reveals earthy chili pepper. The taste is cidery apricot and peppery heat while the aftertaste gives a pleasing earthiness. Nicely balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared bottle at home. Pours a light yellow or amber, depending how much residue is present. Aroma is apricot, chocolate, and a bit of pepper. Tastes a lot like pepper, mostly in the aftertaste. Was a nice experiment, but would likely go for another beer next time.

Sadly out of balance with the scotch bonnet chillies dominating the flavour and aftertaste.

4/VII/15 - 75cl bottle @ RBBSG IV - BB: n/a (2015-868) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!

Little hazy blond to beige beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: quite some chlorine, grains, funky, bit sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of chillies, holy fuckwhats, funky, sourish, weird, again lots of chillies, very hot ’n spicy. Aftertaste: very spicy, hot, chillies. Meh.

Part of a tasting flight at BCS. Hazy mango juice color with no head. Very light fruit aroma and some grain. Watery mouthfeel with a medium to light body. Taste has some soap and vegetative notes with some light fruit. Spicy finish. Kinda weird.
