scotty (1199) - SCOTLAND - APR 25, 2017
Bottle from Aldi. Nicely balanced brew, pleasant citrus hop notes with subtle biscuity malt lurking in the background. Quite light in body, with a good finish, goes down well.

500ml bottle from Aldi. Pours an unfiltered orange/ amber with a small white head. Seen a few people have said "It smells of greenhouse" and I now can’t unsmell it, so I guess it has a nose of Greenhouse, biscuit malt, very yeasty and some citrus. Not bad fairly sweet and citrus bitter ale with a yeasty taste.

Cask at Cloisters. Pours crystal clear gold with a creamy head. Aromas of malt, butterscotch, faint floral soapy notes. Taste is watery, thin finish.

Csk @ The Grill, Aberdeen. Lovely hazy gold, poured to perfection. A bit bland, some hops trying to make a statement without being heard.

mighty_meadow (308) - Kilwinning, SCOTLAND - MAY 20, 2015
500ml from Aldi (Scottish Beer Festival). Nothing wild about this at all, in fact it’s actually pretty tame. Little bits of floral, citrus and biscuit but nothing that really stands out. Quite disappointing,

Copper beer with a thin head and a sour citrus aroma. After the scent the flavour was a touch sweeter than I expected with the bitter citrus balanced by a sweet, caramel-y flavour though it remains quite sharp on the tongue. It leaves a slightly airy, floral taste in the mouth afterwards. A crisp, decent beer.
