Pours a mostly clear golden orange on tap with fluffy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of big sweet caramel malts over a hint of piney and pithy grapefruit hops. Taste follows, overly malty, a tad sweet, bitterness covers that decently, big booze. Old school and unabashedly west coast, meh. oobawa (1961) - Tennessee, USA - NOV 27, 2017
Hardcore malt-bomb of a DIPA, loads of caramel and toasted grain offset by deep veins of orange, grapefruit, and pine. Finishes with a mild bitterness—not nearly as clingy or pronounced as you want—leading to a bready, citrus-tinged fade. Pours a deep orange-gold with a moderate white head and tons of lacing. Decent nose offers up grapefruit, wet malt and caramel. Mild hit of boozy warmth, but otherwise has a smooth, easy texture. Not bad, but could use a little oomph. jw0406 (1323) - atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 19, 2016

About 2 weeks old- Bottle. dark Gold color, minor lacing. Sweet hay and caramel aroma with some piney hops. Malt sweetness dominates, but also bitter pine and some grapefruit. Alcohol noticeable. Could be a more little hop forward especially on the nose but a very drinkable 10% IIPA rajendra82 (1109) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - DEC 22, 2015
The beer poured orange amber in color, and the body looked quite hazy, when held up against a light. The head formed to a height of two fingers thick, and left spotty lace around the glass. The smell was a blend of hops and malts, giving an impression of balanced beer. The blended aromas reminded me the most of mangoes and peaches. Since I was sampling this beer nine months past the hand written bottled on date, I wonder if the hops were more pronounced at one time. The taste was very mellow, with a good tropical fruit flavor, followed by a kick of spicy hops. The body was quite tick for the style, making this beer start to encroach on barleywine territory. The beer was enjoyable DIPA, but sadly not a memorable one.

Cloudy orange pour with a sticky, white head.
Flowery hops and sweet candy malt aroma.
The flavor has dusty bitterness and malt sweetness.
I’d prefer it to be crisper in the hops and less sweet.

Another nice BH beer. One of my fav GA breweries. Rusty orange color with good head retention. Resin and pine in the aroma. Honey candy sweetness, tropical fruits, pine, medium maltiness and slight booze presence. Lots of flavor and bubbly mouthfeel for a big IPA. Nice! Gachupines (1252) - USA - MAY 2, 2015
Amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is pine hops with something a little fruity. Flavor is strong pine hops with a very sweet finish. A little too far on the sweet side though it finishes nicely.
