COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burro de Sancho Negra is a light-bodied Porter. Through the use of special malts we get a dark beer with a touch of coffee and chocolate in flavour, with a pleasant bitter finish. Ideal paired with heavier meats, legumes and stews.

Gangstergafje (1356) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - JAN 19, 2018
19-01-2018; bottle; drank in Voss, Norway (bought somewhere at a supermarket in Spain, vicinity of Malaga). The looks of the beer are very nice. It looks just like the way I like it. The beer has nice dark color. It is a very dark brown, with a lovely ruby red glow. It is a tint lighter than most Porters. The beer looks rather clear, but some haziness is there. But it is to dark to really tell. On top of the beer some nice light brown soft foam is formed. Foam retention is average. A thin drape only is left after some time. The smell of the beer is fine, but rather mild. It isn't the strongest smelling beer. There are some touches of roasted malts. I smell some chocolate and coffee, and nice roast, but all three aromas are a bit mild. Hops give some fruity notes, but not to strong. Compared to the malt aroma's, hops are stronger than in most Porters, but overall both are quite mild. The taste of the beer is nice. It is a bit stronger than the smell. The malt flavours are very nice. They give some sweet plain malt touches, but also bitter flavours like coffee and chocolate, and a slightly savoury roast touch. Hops give some nice fruity flavours. They give a nice bitterness. There is also a touch of liquorice. The taste is well balanced. The palate of the beer is fine. Medium body, slightly sticky texture and medium light carbonation. The finish of the beer is a bit short. It contains some liquorice and roasted malts. It could be stronger. Nice bitterness though. All in all, a nice light-bodied Porter, but I like a full-bodied porter more.

Medium carbonation, nutty aromas, touch of toffee notes. Decent hoppy. Quite nice.

A rather typical stout porter dark beer with undertones of chocolate. Not bad but nothing special.

Very nice toast / roasty malt flavour, and a beautiful colour. The aroma leaves a little to be desired htough, but all in all a very drinkable beer.

Backlog. Synchronizing with notes and Untappd.
Coffee and roasted notes dominate the aromas. Taste is watery coffee, saved by the carbonation
