On cask at the Clarendon, Leicester. Very dark brown with off white head. Aroma quite subtle but nice sweet roasty smell. Nice and smooth with subtle taste at first but nice bitter fruit on aftertaste. I like this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours in beautiful dark brown, slightly reddish color with 1cm beige head. Aroma is just slightly roasty, not much to smell. Taste is smooth and mild, mostly reminds me a common pale ale from the same brewery. There are all similar notes - caramel sweets, lolipops and herbs. So the only difference is the slightly roasty aftertaste. Well, it's definitely a good ale, could recommend it, but just have in mind that it wont taste like a common porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

foxo82 (923) - Bromsgrove (via Leicester), Worcestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2012
Cask at Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Black. Not much aroma. Lacking flavour too - some sweet malt, some Babybel, some sprouts. Lacking anything interesting.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 15/09/12. Dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that soon cleared to the edge. Malty nose, a little chocolate and coffee. Taste as nose, a touch of liquorice and dark fruit. Medium bodied, a little on the wet side.

Very dark brown pour, aroma of fruit and chocolate. Flavour of milk chocolate and coffee, full bodyfeel. Ends with a fruity bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2012 cask at burton bridge innfruity nose but has that hint of sourness I look for in a decent porter. Complex malt background and good bittermess too...nice. 19/8 bottle. Low carbonation lots of blackcurrant

Pudding (266) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2012
500ml bottle. Disappointed in this. Low flavour and watery mouthfeel. Slight sulphury taste the only redeeming factor. Preferred Bramble Stout by the same brewery.
