(Cask, Charlies, Copenhagen) - Light golden in colour. Minty, flowery nose. Easy drinkable with a mint, apple and lemony palate. - Not bad....

Cask at The Black Lion, Cheddleton. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of cereal malts, some apple, slight butter and subtle floral hops. Taste of crisp apple, slight caramel, a hint of butter, subtle cereal malts and some floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A sweetish, malty finish. Weirdly appley like the name suggest with cereal malts and soft floral hops. Well below average.

Handpull cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Golden and clear with a sporty white head. Not much Arona at all. A bit of malt, some wheat and some lemon but it is very faint. Bittersweet malty taste with some bitter citrus notes in the finish. A hint of biscuit and a bit of soap. Lemon and more malt in the aftertaste. Good enough but not a lot to it really.

Cask @ Ministry of Ale, Burnley. Blonde with a creamy head. Has a light citrus nose hoppy nose and similar taste. Never getting too stated it’s an easy drinking ale.

Mar 2015 - Cask at the Masque Haunt. Old school nostalgic pump clip. Yellow, slight haze, small off-white head, full lacing initially but it drops off quickly. Aroma is toned down, air, very light tartness. Body is medium, pretty smooth, no real carbonation. Taste is watery, lager and lemon, a little tart, some cabbage, finishes with a nice level of bitterness.

Pours a very light golden with a white head. Doesn’t smell good. Taste has a bit more character, some bitterness.

Cask at the Salt Cot in Saltcoats (JDW) Looks like a low carbonated lager. Suffering with a cold at the moment so lack of aroma may be due to this. Not much taste, bit of apple and some honey but no strong flavours at all. Drinkable but not great.

Appearance pale. Nice aroma taste okay if a little uninspiring. At second pint surprisingly strong. More bitter on palate than I first thought. Good session beer.
