Half pint pulled at The Market Porter at London Bridge (London), a clear amber with a bubbly white head. Difficult to pick up any aroma, just a touch of malt. A roasted malt flavour with some definite chocolate notes. More hoppy through the swallow, with citrus flavours. A good smooth bitter. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2007
Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Copper colour with lasting beige head. I expected a bit of pear fruit to be honest. Instead this is a pretty standard bitter, some caramel, some hop. Fine, it’s just that it’s a bitter and after an hour or so at this pub, I do get bored of bitters.
