Cask Handpump at the Vernon Arms, Liverpool 13/06/2002 Golden amber coloured and a little dry on the palate with a lasting malt finish.

Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. A golden orange colour with a fine, lasting white head. Completely sulphuric aroma. Sulphur again dominates on the tongue with some toasted malts in the background. Finishes with a decent grassy bitterness. Quite muddy on the palate, light to medium carbonation and a thinnish body.

31st March 2008. Light golden ale. Plenty of orangey and grapefruit hop tones but not too dry or bitter.

Sweet sherbetty aroma. Slightly watery body. Sticky resiny bitter taste. Quite drinkable, but a bit boring.

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2009 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Bright coppery gold with very little aroma, possibly malty. Slightly stale cardboard and metal taste. Hoppy and bitter but not appealing. 29.12.09 Same location. Some dusty citrus in the aroma. Banal watery taste. Some bitterness. Disappointing after the rather bombastic name and pumpclip that looks like an official seal of some sort. Rated:5,3,4,3,9:2.4

Cask, with Traci and Fin at the Turf Tavern, Oxford. Warm copper, a bit of white head. Sulfur, nettle, a little lemon sweetness. Grapefruit flavor, fresh and fruity without being particularly bitter. Fresh, light palate, very refreshing. As much as I tend not to like the Burton sulfur nose, it’s not overbearing here.

Fin (10473) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2008
Cask at the Turf Tavern, Oxford 10-07-08 in the company of Casey and Traci Some sulphour on the nose, a nice tangy fruitiness in the mouth, nice lemonyness, dries towards end. This has less bitterness than the Burton Bridge Moss Boss also had at the Turf tonight. Its quite tasty and pleasant.
