Cask, 1/2 pint, Hengler’s Circus, Glasgow, very weak malty aroma, amber with a thin, white head and sparse lacing, earthy, toffee, oily, a bit watery, served a bit too cold.

The_Osprey (9140) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2016
Cask at The Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. As ’Burton Bridge XL Bitter’. Old school pump clip. Pale orange, clear, still, small bubbly white head. Aroma is biscuit, buttery, a little sulphur. Body is rounded, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is light citrus, biscuit, cardboard, musty bitter finish. Not bad.

On cask at Victoria Lounge Bar, Hanley. Pours copper with off white head. Quite a pleasant smooth start but dies into a watery wishwash. OK.

downender (8882) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2010
Cask-conditioned at the Staffordshire Beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/10/10. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Slightly sweet, malty flavour with some citrus and apricot fruit. Flavour had more fruitiness and earthy malts, before a pleasantly bitter finish. Drinkable.

bacchanalia (146) - milton, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2010
Pours out a deep gold, yeasty, malty nose, real old fashioned style bitter, bready, yeasty, earthy body with slight mushroomy flavour that if it was anymore pronouced would be unpleasant but just about gets away with. The body is clean & light with a delicate dry finish. Nothing spectacular but a solid enough quaffer.
