It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

A bottle from Privado in Guting, drunk at home. Aroma: candy sweet, with the malt coming through. Appearance: clear, dark gold, light white lacing. Palate: full-bodied, thckly sweet, soft carbonation. Long, complex but predominantly sweet finish. The booze in this one punches you in the face. Taste: too heavily sweet for me. I like the booze hit though.

Clear, dark amber colour. No head. Smells like booze. Tastes like booze and cough syrup. Bad.

Bottle at pater marcus. Clear orange colour no head. Looks like a soft drink. Nose is booze, light banana and bubblegum aromas. Taste is bubblegum, banana and esters. Low booze. Fast finish. Too much booze for me.

330ml bottle. 11.8%. In the cellar for a year. Pours amber with a light haze, along with sediment being thrown around by the carbonation with a creme coloured cap. SMELLS sweet. Caramel, raisin, dried apricots, orange hard candy, faint bread notes, and yeast. Yes. It tastes sweet too, with sultana raisin, various dried fruit, spice, and some booziness that moves into similar notes with hard water, and faint orange peel in the sweet finish. It’s alright, but it’s another sugar Belgian bomb I’m not likely to purchase again.

Drunk from 33cl bottle bought from delhaize in Brussels. Strong slightly sweet blonde barley ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This seems a bit of a novelty beer. Far too strong for anything but booziness to come through. Airfix glue/peardrops on the nose, orangey port in the mouth.

GemmeDeReve (119) - FRANCE - DEC 21, 2016

Shared bottle pour is pale amber and clear with an off-white head. Aroma and taste of malt, caramel, and alcohol. Sharp boozy finish. Did not finish.

Väri on kivan punertava. Tuoksukin on ihan ok, hedelmää, makeaa. Mutta maku aika karsea. Alkoholi puskee läpi. Paloviinaa.
