3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
250ml bottle pooured into a Trappist glass. Pours amber with a average size fizzy light brown head that diminishes rather quickly leaving no lacing. The body is clear with carbonation bubbles floating to the top. The aroma is strawy and grainy with a light yeastyness along with some alcohol. The flavor is first off caramel malts with a touch of toffee along with a moderate belgian yeastyness. There is a slight bitterness and alcohol finish in the end. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.
One really good ale. I drunk it after 4 years age in my cellar. A lot of honey aromas, honey complexity, hoppy, caramel taste and aroma. Like a liquior it was. But I know it in a fresh bottle also. It is huge. You cannot feel the alcohol and the heat so much as in the fresh version. It is sweet and thick. loscovar (652) - Trieste, ITALY, Villeneuvette, FRANCE - SEP 17, 2017

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2017 Sabe muy bien de draft , dulce y con sensaciones frutales claras pese a tener 12% alcohol. rumore (701) - Rimini, ITALY - SEP 6, 2017
From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours fairly transparent gold worth very fine white foam. Aroma is sweet and rather alcoholic. Body is dense with moderate carbonation. Taste is overly sweet but well moderated by the high alcohol. Finish is long and sweet. alex_leit (5024) - Minsk, BELARUS - SEP 3, 2017
Bottle 330 ml. Foggy, reddish-light amber color, white foam. Aroma is strong, fruit esters and alcohol, candies, candied fruits, marmalade, pear and plum wine, a bit of madera and calvados. Taste: strong, alcoholic, brandy, marmalade, lollipops, quite dry and bitter, very warming.

Famed to be Belgium's strongest Ale, it is remarkable how well-balanced its complex flavors are. Many weaker beers (e.g. Quadruples) have a much stronger alcoholic note. A truely enjoyable experience for your taste buds. Keukeman (165) - BEST, NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2017 .33l bottle at the Gouden Leeuw in Vessem. Poured a cloudy copper coloured beer with thin offwhite head. Aroma is alcohol, sweet and fruity: hints of caramel and apple/orange. Taste is very sweet. malt, brown sugar, orange, caramel. Appearance is cool, nice glass and bottle. Palate is good. Thick body and medium to low carbonation. Mouthfeel is pleasant. Overall really really good and special beer. Would definitely recommend. Bacchus66 (895) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 19, 2017
250ml bottle. Pretty sure this bottle has some age on it. Cloudy dark amber pour with no head to speak of. Rich malt nose, yeast, cloves, dark fruit, alcohol. Full bodied due to ABV, very low carbonation. Warning finish is lingering and faintly syrupy. Not bad. ipchan (3) - - JUL 28, 2017 does not count
A surprise discovery through my friend who's from Tournai where the origin of this beer is. Very strong and pleasant aroma, I just couldn't have enough of it!
