COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Created in June 1998, Bush Blond is obviously a discovery in the strong blond ales market in which it will undoubtedly play a major role. It has a light and glistering colour. Hugues Dubuisson who is the current brewer wanted it to be worthy of the famous Bush Amber and gave it the same nice aroma and flavour.

0,33l bottle. Cloudy yellow colour with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma: Candy sugar, banana, notes of matured chedar. Taste: Very, very sweet malty start with a strong sweet mouthfeel that slowly turns into slightly sour feel, than the bitter tones are coming together. Quite dynamic. The alcohol isnt harsh especially for 10,5%. Medium body with fizzy carbonaion. Long sweet/sour and slighlty bitter mouthfeel. A great dessert beer.

GoufCustom (1776) - HONG KONG - JUL 29, 2016

330ml bottle bought at ICBeer in Kwun Tong.

Looks: Translucent golden orange colour with a cloud of yeasty particles; One finger head with crumpety white foam which last for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with quite fizzy small carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet full malt, with very strong banana, vanilla, strong yellow fruits, light pineapples, caramel, sugar, light alcohol, earth, strong Bel yeast and very light grass.

Taste: Medium sweet malt, with medium alcohol, fair plums, banana, red fruits, light caramel, floral, candi sugar, sterong Bel yeast, strong herbs, fair lemon, medium bitter hops and light grass.

Body: Full body. Creamy and thick palate.

Mouth Feel: Rich Pale maltyness in a thick and very smooth background, almost Tripel-like. Strong fruity esters of banana, light plums and red fruits. Quite flowery with fairly strong but tasty sweetness, rounded with strong herbs and lemon. Very nice!

Booze: The 10.5% abv here is notable but rather lightweight compare to other Bush beers. Slightly warm and very tasty. Yes!

Hoppiness: Earth and light grass in nose. Strong herbs, lemon, and light grass in taste; Bitterness is moderate for an abrupt, mid astringent sweet bitter finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Creamy and fairly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one is essentially a nicely-brewed Tripel, with decent blond colour, nice head, strong with a bit overdone fruity ester aroma, excellent Pale maltyness with nice sweet fruitiness, and a nice herbal hoppy finish. This is pretty much on the same wavelength with Chimay White, thats how nice and easy it is. Highly recommended!
