UPDATED: DEC 1, 2017 Many thanks for this limited beer to Eric De Geyter. Vintage 2015. Serve in Burgundy wine glass. Uwielbiam ten rodzinny browa. Fantastycznie i glosno wystrzelilo, dymek poszedl jak spaliny z rury wydechowej starego trabanta. Piana spora dynamicznie rosnie, trwala do samego konca. Po oproznieniu kieliszka ok 2-3 lyzki stolowe jej zostaje na dnie. Barwa pomaranczowo-jasno miedziana. Zapach dojzalych moreli i brzoskwin. Smakowo na poczatek uderza alkoholowa nuta po czym pojawiaja sie pomaranczowe owoce (morele i brzoskwinie), dochodzi lepkosc i slodycz jakby konfditura brzoskwiniowo-pigwowa).

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/17/2014. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep golden/yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, melon, berry, orange, citrus peel, white wine, peppercorn, toasted oak, vanilla, hay, herbal, floral, grass, honey, candi sugar, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of musty funk, banana, bubblegum, clove, and yeast/oak earthiness. Touch of wine barrel booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, white wine barrels, candi sugar, pale malt, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge lemon, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, melon, berry, orange, citrus peel, white wine, peppercorn, toasted oak, vanilla, hay, herbal, floral, grass, honey, candi sugar, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of musty funk, banana, bubblegum, clove, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast spiciness, herbal/grassy bitterness, and light wine/oak tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, melon, berry, orange, citrus peel, white wine, peppercorn, toasted oak, vanilla, hay, herbal, floral, grass, honey, candi sugar, cracker, white bread, light funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, white wine barrels, candi sugar, pale malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness, wine/oak tang/tartness, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is fairly well hidden; a mildly increasing warmth of 10.5%, with a bit of barrel booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible barrel aged Belgian strong pale ale! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, white wine barrels, candi sugar, pale malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink for the big ABV, with the modestly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Amazing levels of perfectly balanced complexity from yeast and white wine barrels; great malt backing without being sweet/heavy feeling. Well attenuated and spot on for the style. A highly enjoyable offering. cgarvieuk (26077) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 15, 2017

750ml cork bottle opened with loud ‘pop’ bought at ICBeer in Kwun Tong.
Looks: Translucent golden orange honey colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Two and a half finger head with crumpety white foam which last for 4 minutes; Beautiful sticky lacing with very fizzy carbonation.
Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet full malt, with strong sparkling wine, strong white grapes, strong yellow fruits, caramel, honey, floral, sugar, wood barrel, spices, dry biscuits, yeast, lemon and fair grass. Lovely!
Taste: Mid to strong sweet sweet malt, with strong oak barrels, Port wine, white wine, apricots, white grapes, plums, caramel, floral, molasses, strong alcohol, liquorices, spices, strong dry biscuits, lemon and mid to strong bitter grassy hops.
Body: Full body. Dry, thick and smooth palate.
Mouth Feel: Full maltyness in a slightly sluggish background, a bit creamy. Dryish strong wine barrel dominates, with very good Port wine, white wine, apricots, grapes and caramel. Flowery hoppy with moderate sweetness tamed by the barrels. Spicy, very dry biscuit with good lemon to round. Really nice!
Booze: The 10.5% abv here is notable but subdued somewhat by the dryness and barrel wine taste. Liquorices works well with the hops for some subtle bitterness. Good!
Hoppiness: Floral, spices, lemon and fair grass in nose and taste; Bitterness is fairly strong for an abrupt, mid to high astringent bitter-sweet biscuit malty finish.
After Taste: Very dry. Spicy winey and quite bitter to mouth.
Comments: So this is a Burgundy oak barreled Bush Blonde, and much its BSA sweetness and fruityness were nicely replaced by strong dry white wineyess and subtle alcohol. A very easy going BSA being well tuned with wine barrels. Recommended!
Bottle thanks Kapusil. Golden yella little to no carbonation. Apples, pears, booze, white wine and bready yeast aroma. Tart belgian strong ale with strawbeery, peach, almond and bready yeast. Really good and kicks. kapusil (1515) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 13, 2017
0.75l bottle. Hazy golden body with a huge white head. Aroma of bread, white wine, apples, nutmeg, lemon zest and a tiny bit of vinegar. Taste of bread, white wine, lemon zest, sugar syrup and nutmeg. The white wine character is in the center for sure. Great beer.
