COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noel, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste. In the U.S the label generally reads Scaldis Noel.

On tap at the York River Landing. This would be a great beer to swap for Christmas pudding -- it’s sweet, malty, and faintly boozy, and just smelling it reminded me of Christmas.

Bottle. BBE date Sept 2010; Drank July 2009 - Red-Amber in colour. Vinous. Yeasty; lots of floaties and sediment. Spicy; cinnamon. Malty; caramel, toffee, roasty malts, hint of chocolate. Fruity; raisins, apples. Hoppy; peppery & grassy hops. Not surprisingly, the alcohol is quite noticeable. Sweet malty throughout leading to a very dry finish. (2009-07)

Bottle from Beer Gonzo. Clear reddish to tawny brown in the glass with no head. Nose is sweet, candy sugar, brown sugar, raisins, rich perfumed florals, caramel, banana, . Taste is ripe fruit and banana, bitter dry hop, sweet candy sugar, caramel, floral, raisins, dried fruit, slight pine, prune, fig. Mouthful is little oily and sticky. It’s all shading a little too sweet but the dried fruit and bitterness takes the edge off it.

Myonlyvice (335) - DENMARK - JAN 18, 2017
Hazy brown with an off white head. Aroma of raisins, spice, yeast and caramel. There was a freshness to the taste at first. Like apple, but sweet and spice notes took over soon and where overpowering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
