This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noel, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste. In the U.S the label generally reads Scaldis Noel.

pours a hazy deep amber color, near mahogany, with medium beige head that quickly fades. Aroma is sweet, with caramel, toffee, overriped fruits, dark fruits and alcohol. taste follows the nose, alcoholic, with sweet malts, caramel, figues and spices.

Pours a clear mahogany with an off-white head that soon dissipates. Malty with strong notes of Carmel. Complex with lots of flavors that I am having a hard time picking up on with a first tasting. Considering it's 12% it hides the alcohol well, however the alcohol becomes more noticeable as it warms. A lovely beer that I will seek out again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours amber with a slightly tan head. Strong and sweet caramelt aroma that also has notes of dried fuits and candy. Inevitably, the aroma has alcohol in the background but it goes well together with the caramel. Taste is sweet and spicy with a caramel and alcohol background that turns a little more spicy and bitter in the end. Aftertase has a nice combination of sweetness and alcohol warmth.

On tap @ Kulminator. A nice two finger sized white lacing head over a cloudy caramel colores darkish body. A little cold, metallic at first. Clearly this needs to gain a few knots on the Celsius scale, so better order a waiting beer. After the waiting beer it has a more just temperature. Apples, caramel, toffee. Some vanilla. Beautifully integrated. Smells really good. All the same in the tastes. Vanilla, white chocolate, pear. Lovely stuff. 10.10.2017

Bottle from savuer-biere.com. Pours dark orange. Nose is full on banana, banana bread, sweetness. Palate is sweet citrus, orange, banana, toffee. Spicy finish. A bit heavy, but I can imagine it being a good winter beer.

Bottle - Cherry and malty notes. Cloudy dark brown notes. Sweet cherry like notes, dark malts. Light sweet finish. Pleasant and malty.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2018 Bottle from a Carrefour in Bruges. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, lasting, foamy, off-white head. The aroma contains lots of licorice, spices, malt, butterscotch and caramel, dried and dark fruits. It tastes medium to heavy sweet, on the verge of cloying, light bitter, with a long light spicy finish. Warming alcohol too. Full body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. As a Christmas beer, it’s definitely a success. But I could enjoy this every night...
