This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noel, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste. In the U.S the label generally reads Scaldis Noel.

12 ounce (or so) bottle thanks to Dallas. A deep brown color with a medium white head. A big fruity and sweet nose. Candies, some caramel, light spices, very nutty, very dry, massive dark fruit at times. Excellent. I could drink a ton.

33cl bottle at home, bought at Hopt.nl. Appearance: clear brown with medium, off-white head. Aroma: sweet malts, grains, some peach. Taste: high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of candied sugar, cotton candy, some banana, cinnamon and artificial fruits. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and medium carbonation. A bit warming.

0,33l bottle. Pours red-brown with medium sized head. Caramel, plum, belgian yeast. Bitter finish. Really easy to drink for the abv, only a hint of alcohol. Good one!

Red brown with small beige head. Aroma caramel and red fruits. Full body, some alcohol. Flavor is mostly quite sweet, brown sugar/caramel and some fruit, a little bit of an odd hop astringency. Not bad although a little over the top in body and alcohol without enough complexity to compensate.

Sweet caramel malty aroma. Dark hay color, medium off-white head. Sweet, concealed bitterness, alcohol feel. Full body, sticky, long finish.

Postgusto a pasas y especias. Sin alardes pero bien.

AROMAT : Intensywny. Dominują estry (gruszka).
SMAK : Klasycznie: słody (lekki karmel) oraz drożdże (mieszanka fenoli i estrów). Bardzo wysokie nasycenie, nawet jak na styl.
WYGLĄD : Barwa ciemno bursztynowa, opalizujące. Piana drobna, obfita.

à la maison. Bière de Noël forte (12°) qui fait davantage penser à une bière d'abbaye qu'à une scotch. Relativement amère pour ce type de bière , elle s'oriente en bouche vers le miel et la cannelle.

imperial_suchy (335) - Rybnik, POLAND - DEC 27, 2017
Piwo koloru ciemnego bursztyna, klarowne, z obfitą drobnopęcherzykową pianką. W aromacie słodowo, karmelowo, trochę suszonych owoców. Sporo ciała, wysycenie średnie, do wysokiego. W smaku suszone owoce, przyprawy, czuję też delikatne orzechy laskowe. Ogólnie to wszystko średnio intensywne. Dość lekko się pije jak na ten woltaż, alkohol w ogóle nie przeszkadza. Piwo nawet fajne, ale troszkę bez charakteru.

DerGantzel (513) - Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 27, 2017
Aroma of caramel, fruits (banana) and with notes of herbs and chocolate. Medium sweetness, light-medium bitterness. A very fine and tasteful Christmas ale.
