Purchased a bottle at the brewpub October 2016, on our west coast musical tour. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with an off-white head and minimal lacing. Peppery nose with a malty background. The taste starts off smooth, but then the peppers hit in the middle, lingering with grainy malts. A nice spicy beer with a long lasting bite. Bottle - Green chilli and some pale malts. Hazy light gold with a thin white head. Green chilli and a ton of heat on the throat and tongue. Too much physical heat. Crel (37) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - SEP 6, 2010
Beer pours a golden color with a thin quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is very vegetal, with the Serrano pepper as pretty much the only aromatic component. The only taste to the beer is capsaicin, and is actually quite a bit warmer than I expected from a beer. If I was eating some nachos with this, it would taste like a Coors light, and after you have gotten used to the heat, that is all that’s left. This is a very thin body beer, with a slightly oily feeling left in the mouth. I love spicy food, but sadly the best part of this beer was when I ate the pepper. Not likely to drink this again, though it would probably make a great chicken marinade. Sask89 (529) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - JUN 26, 2010
Pours a clear yellow colour with no head, difficult to pour with the jalapeno pepper in the way too. Aroma is of peppers, pretty much nothing else. Taste is overwhelmed by the pepper too. Very disappointing, never again. paco (576) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - FEB 3, 2008
Bottle. 3 inch jalapeno floats in each bottle. Pours a fizzy piss like yellow with a fizzy white head. Tastes like liquid jalapeno. Not really a beer for drinking as it lightas your mouth on fire instantly. Great for marinating a steak in. The jalapeno can be used for a few things too. Soup, tacos, eggs, really anything.

College prank, dare or beer. Dark yellow. No head. Green floating turd. Smells like Jalapeño. Fiery beer holds the pepper right through the throat burning finish. Firewater! One sip is enough. Oakes (19045) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 4, 2007
Piss yellow with a turd-like chile floating in it. This could be a glass of beer, or it could be a toilet bowl. I mean, I’ve seen beers that look like shit before but this is going too far. Smells like grains and jalapeno...raw, vinegary, vile. Taste is pretty much as I remember Cave Creek. All hot, all vinegary, vegetal jalapeno. No balance and tastes like ass. Poor concept, poor execution. tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 4, 2007
To me, the hot pepper just simply overwhelms any beer character whatsoever leaving an oily yet thin golden beer with absolutely no head. Basically undrinkable to me... CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 2, 2007
WORLD PREMIERE RATING... Ha ha ha... (22oz bottle) Sampled at a gathering at TiggMTL’s place in Vancouver on June 30, 2007. Bought at the brewpub on June 8, 2007. Pours a clear, oily golden body without a head. Nose is grainy, jalapeno and Louisiana Hot Sauce. This is my first full-fledged chili beer. Its hot sauce with a grainy texture. Not something my tongue or tummy enjoys.
