Very dark brown pour, minimal head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, oakiness, and spice. Taste is more of the same. Pretty good.
4/29/17. Draft @SAT. Nice way to head out of TX. Classic dark w thin head and lacing. Not much of a nose but a pop of hops and nice dark flavors. Thin mouth you'd expect from a porter. Carbonation prominent. Very drinkable.

Can. Pours an opaque brown-black with an incredibly high, fine-grained, creamy, lacy medium brown head. Nose is chocolate cake, vanilla, cinnamon, roast pecans, and smoked tea. Slightly sweet and intensely bitter up front, with an herbal overtone; all the usual notes of espresso and baking chocolate, but there’s also a rosemary/mint thing going on that works, even if it sounds like it wouldn’t. There’s also a boozy streak a mile wide on this baby, redolent of port wine or sherry-cask-aged Scotch. There’s a lot going on here, and it’s outside the norm -- and that’s fun. Finish is clean and bitter. Pretty good. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 9, 2016
(12oz can) Pours a dark brown body with a tall beige head. Aroma of mustiness, roasted grain, cocoa, and coffee. Flavor of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, chocolate, and bread. Marheb (5778) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 12, 2016
(En fût à la brasserie): Un porter d’une richesse mince à moyenne transportant des tonalités très anisées, de la mélasse, noix de coco et poussières de torréfaction. Très bon.

Draft, Big Hops @ SAT. Nice aroma of chocolate. Black, with a reddish tint at the edges. Very little head/lacing. Very nice bittersweet, espresso flavor. Good body. Overall, a very good porter. PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 29, 2015
San Antonio, TX - on tap at Busted Sandal tap room. Deep dark brown leading to black pour with a thin eggshell white head clinging to the edge of the glass. Creosote and licorice in the aroma. Robust flavor with strong espresso notes, bitter unsweetened chocolate, a touch of chocolate. Thick mothfeel with a solid chalky mouthfeel. Glad I got a full pint of this rather than the sampler.
