Tap to go. Very dark brown color. Tiny brown head, stays. Sweet, bready, nice roast in aroma. Lovely breadiness, roast, faint raisins in taste. Maybe bit too fizzy, but it’s not really disturbing. Absolutely top kvass. FatPhil (16928) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 10, 2011

Rich raisiny, sweet. Tastes a bit wooly and citrussy, and the classic kvass malt extract. Wooliness a bit too dominant. Some apple in the retronasals. Sweet, but not too sticky - crisp carbonation makes it quite refreshing. More citrussy than most Ilgezeem, and the wooliness makes this quite different from the others they make, but isn’t necessarily positive. The question is why Butautu Manor needd Latvians to brew their gira for them? (They brew the dark one too.) Or is it Ilgezeem cynically exploiting a Lithuanian brand in order to expand their dominance in the brewed kvass arena?
