I'm not sure wether this qualifies as a Dunkler Bock, I'd guess it's (judging from it's taste) more a Abbey Dubel. I liked it.

Draft 0.25l at Butchers Tears Brewpub Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 22.12.2016. Pour it brown color with big white head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel and some rusty note. Bottle 33cl. Bad bottle? No carbonation or head. Sour taste. Poured into the drain. Any other experience like this?

The smell has a fresh and a little sour malts. The taste is much richer. A nice bouquet of malts, caramel, chocolate, red fruits. A very nice mouthfeel. A real pleaser, without being too sweet. A really great bock. Lots of carbonization keeps the bock firmly on the right place. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

I think this bottle was bad, because everyone seems to extol the virtues of its carbonation. Zero head to speak of. Flat as fuck. Sour taste. Earthy and woody. Syrupy texture. I’ll give it another shot just in case, but if this is how it’s meant to be, then this is the first time I’ve ever hated a beer by Butcher’s Tears.
