Cask HP at Hamilton Hall Liverpool St as Butcombe Bitter, 4.0%. This was the first cask ale I ever ordered because I found the name amusing, and on this occasion its the barlord who found it funny when I ordered it. Dark amber orange, translucent, still with a thick creamy diminishing head, thick lacing. Probable sparkler. Aroma is airy, sugary, bread. Body is lightish, soft carbonation, quite smooth. Taste is bready, a little woody, a touch watery, touch of resin. Twiggy. Its the same as it ever was. Perfectly ok, drinkable and balanced, traditional, good condition. Fine.

Cask, Brndt smag, godt humlet, virkelig tr i det. Den brndte smag brnder virkelig igennem (so to speak), den er meget gennemtrngende men ikke p en ubehagelig mde.
