3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On Cask at The Shakespeare in London. Pour was medium copper in color with a nice white head. Aroma was lightly hopped with a litle citrus and spice accompanied by just a little bready malt. The flavor was nice and bitter, but the complexity of the hops was a bit one dimensional. The malt was real light, which allowed the hops to become a bit over powering. I like hops a lot, so I still enjoyed the beer, and at 4%, I would have been able to drink many of them.
Cask at The Rutland Arms - not a particularly interesting brew, but perfectly palatable. Would drink again :) Stuu666 (15536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 22, 2018
Cask at the foot of the walk. Pours clear amber, nose is floral, vegetive, light funk, taste is sweet, berries, hay, floral. p0urmeac0ld0ne (499) - Merthyr Tydfil, WALES - DEC 29, 2017
Same deal as my bottled rating, not a bad brew but not really up to scratch with the worldwide beer scene, and there are far better examples in the UK too. I do not have a vendetta against Butcombe, they are absolutely not bad brewers, but there is something distinctly average about the beers of theirs that I have tried. piwnysnoob (22) - Torun, POLAND - DEC 28, 2017
Casque at Greatfield pub. Nice malty aroma with coffe, bread accents and a bit fruits. Gentle short bitternes. Medium body, light malty taste with a bit stout character. Good beer. Heidbummer (1044) - SCOTLAND - DEC 1, 2017
Thin, slightly malty, clear auburn ale, a bit flat. Quenching. Fades quite quickly after a half pint.

Three pints in the Plough Inn in Wrington less than a mile from where this is brewed. This is a classic English bitter, dark with toasted malt, bitter hops, smooth mouthfeel and low abv. It is a perfect session beer and worked alongside the rather large lunch. tomasz_matelski (7) - Torun, POLAND - NOV 12, 2017 does not count

Decent enough to have a few in a holiday camp bar. Dark bitter with good malt flavours, nicely balanced by the English hops. GuideDogSaint (1820) - Xiamen, CHINA - JUN 26, 2017
Draught at the Charles Holden, Colliers Wood. Pours clear mid brown with a white head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Sweet taste. Bitter finish.
