Bottle @Cabin, Bristol Airport. Small white head, golden colour, clear. Aroma of grapefruit peel, but not too intensive. Bitter taste, long finish, soft carbonation, medium body. Not bad, quite refreshing.

Floral, earthy, spicey, oily, metallic and minerals. A good showcase of old UK hops.

500ml bottle from Asda. Clear brown with small bubbly head. Malt and summer fruits dominate the aroma. Quite sweet up front, malty fruity flavors, but a strange finish that I dont much care for.

500ml bottle. Amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and fruity malty aroma with a metallic note. Taste is bready malt caramel, sweetish, and citric earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle from the Co-op, deep red-brown with a thin head, and a spicy, lightly toasty nose. Body is earthy and toffeeish, with hints of toasted sugared citrus and a light crisp and spicy bitterness. Very much an English style IPA but with American hints.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours mid amber with thin head which rapidly dissipates. Aroma includes caramel and slight honey edge. Taste is well balanced with light cereal but nothing particularly interesting.

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with a good frothy white head. Hoppy aroma, citrus, malts. Flavour is quite hoppy and bittersweet, pleasant mouthfeel. Fairly nice IPA I thought.

A nose like Pinocchios, had Pinocchios nose been cut off. It should have been long and full, but is short and weak. The lie with Butcombe Brunel Atlantic IPA is that it isnt an American IPA, more of a lager beer. Drinkable though, it passes that test.

500ml dark bottle from Asda. Clean and crisp. Pleasant enough and inoffensive, but no character and lacking in all respects. More of a lager than an ale. Its all in balance and professionally made, but theres nothing much here for me. Cant believe this is 5% abv.

Bottle from Tesco, as Brunel Atlantic IPA at 5% so rated here. Amber colour with a thin off white head. Over fruit aroma. Taste mainly sweet, with a very light bitter finish.
