Originally released as a special as Brunel 200 IPA for the Brunel Birthday Celebrations in April 2006.
Brunel and his fellow engineers challenged our sense of what was possible, and in doing so changed the face of the world. Brunel IPA is a clean tasting, dry and hoppy, authentic recipe India Pale Ale. Amber in colour, full bodied with a bittersweet finish…perfectly engineered!

Bottled 20/09/14. An amber brown coloured beer with a white head. A really nicely balanced stronger fruity and hoppy bitter. Lovely fruits in the mouth. Excellent moreish flavours, Impressive ESB.

Cask at Royal Union. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast and cookie malt, earthy and spicy hops with apple esters. Flavor is malt forward with medium hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Medium to light body and medium carbonation.

Bottle; golden brown, moderate white head; aroma is malty; taste is cereals and bread, lightly toasted; yeast in the background; quite bitter; finish is quite long - more bread / cereal; fresh, thirst quenching and good; in a word: arable.

Poured medium amber with an off white head. Aroma of roast malt, dark chocolate, liquorice. Medium body, flavour is as the aroma, quite bitter, some light fruit hidden in the depths.

A nice premium bitter this one, though not much like an IPA. Nicely balanced caramel malt with earthy hop bitterness. Also, for a bottled bitter it isn’t over carbonated and it has a nice slick texture. Yum!

Aroma is malt and cereal, could not detect hops... Not promising for an IPA. Taste is lightly bitter with cereal, and butterscotch tones, with a lightly pine finish. Mouthfeel is nice and rich.

Sweet aroma with caramel malt. very smooth and easy to drink. Quite a lot of toasty malt in the flavour. Roasted bittersweet aftertaste.
