Bottle shared from the brewery. Clear amber brown with a ring off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, malt and herbal notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2017 A lovely standard best bitter, malty, hints of toffee in the taste, just an all round great beer, how a best bitter should taste, not a hint of citra to be had. fombe89 (4232) - Asturias, SPAIN - DEC 16, 2017

In short: tasty bitter.
Pours quite clean light copper with little off white head. Short head retention, little lacing. Malty, herbal, flowers nose. Light to medium body, average carbonation, slick texture. Taste is malt forward with a little spicy hoppy touch. Ok.

Fairly inoffensive yet somewhat satisfying traditional british ale. Can’t compete with craft beer from around the world, but as an example of this famous British style, I can’t fault it at all. As time has gone on however, I’m finding that these traditional british ales are just not for me. Bottle from Cornwall brought back by my Dad, bless :D
