copper body, thin reddish head. definitive spice notes, christmasy, cranberry nose. fruity and sweet. thin amd flat in the mouth. strong spice flavor: nutmeg, rosemary, herbal. something odd. christmasy maybe some pine extract? Not a big fan myself, but somebody might like it, especially at 2.69/22oz.bottle 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - FEB 29, 2004
Bottle pours red, VERY red, with a small dishwater head. Very light aroma of cranberries. Initial taste is of lightyly unsweetened cranberries. Mouthfeel is thin & watery. Finish is extremely earthy & dusty. Wishing this had a been a bit sweeter. Definately not as good as Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic.Gromit (478) - Port Orchard, Washington, USA - JAN 29, 2004
Whoa, I get to be the first!?! I don't think many people will be rushing out to buy it after this review.
First, full disclosure: I usually don't like fruit or flavored beers and this is no exception. If you're into cranberries, you may love this.
Pours a redish amber color with some head that left a bit of lace down the glass.
Scent is of cranberries and malt.
Taste is sour cranberries, and... <ponder>, well, it kind of reminds me of a thin wine cooler without the sweetness. Definately sour and bitter, but it's almost watery.
Overall I'm not the slightest bit impressed. This reminds me of "bitch-pop" that high school kids buy for their girlfriends so they can get them drunk. "It's not beer, you'll like it!"
